Why move

Why brands move their store to Shopify.

  • Hosting and security are handled

Shopify runs the servers, applies the security updates and carries payment compliance, so your team stops maintaining them.

  • Most of your tools already connect

The Shopify App Store and its APIs cover email, reviews, subscriptions, shipping and more, so you replace plugins instead of rebuilding them.

  • Checkout and payments are built in

A tested checkout, Shop Pay and a wide choice of payment gateways come with the platform.

  • It grows with you

Move from a standard plan to Shopify Plus later without replatforming again.

What moves

Everything that makes your store yours comes across.

  • Products and variants

Titles, descriptions, images, options and prices, with custom attributes mapped into typed Shopify fields instead of one long description.

  • Customers

Accounts and addresses, so repeat buyers and email segments carry on.

  • Order history

Past orders and gift cards, checked against the source after import.

  • Pages and blog posts

Your content model rebuilt in Shopify, not pasted in as blobs of HTML.

  • Every old URL

Each address that ever earned traffic or a link is mapped to its new home in a single redirect hop.

  • Design

Replicated closely or redesigned, as a custom Online Store 2.0 theme.

What does not move as it is: customer passwords cannot be copied between platforms, so customers get an account activation email, and stored payment tokens only move where the payment processor supports a transfer.

How it runs

Six steps from audit to a store that is live and watched.

  1. Days 1 to 10

    Audit

We crawl your current store, list every product, page, plugin and integration, and write the fixed-price plan.

  2. Week 1

    Plan and map

We map your data to Shopify and every old URL to its new address, and agree the launch date.

  3. Weeks 1 to 6

    Build

We build the theme and run trial imports into a staging Shopify store, while your current store stays live.

  4. Before launch

    Test

We check products, customers, orders, redirects, checkout and the apps, and you review the staging store.

  5. Launch day

    Launch

We import the orders placed in the meantime, switch your domain and check the redirects.

  6. Days 1 to 14

    Watch

We monitor Google Search Console, crawl the site and fix anything that moves, then stay on for support if you want us to.

Search protection

Your rankings are part of what you are moving.

Most traffic is lost in the redirects, not the platform. We treat them as a first-class part of the project.

How we preserve rankings →
  1. 01

    One hop for every URL.

Each old address redirects straight to its new page. No chains, no sending everything to the homepage.

  2. 02

    Structured data carried across.

Product details and markup move with the product, so search engines and AI assistants still read your store correctly.

  3. 03

    Fourteen days of watching.

After launch we monitor Search Console and crawl the site, and fix what we find.

Questions

Migration questions, answered

How long does a migration take?

Most take between 3 and 12 weeks, depending on the platform and how much data and custom logic there is. Wix and Squarespace stores are usually quickest, WooCommerce and BigCommerce a little longer, and Magento and custom builds take the longest. The audit gives you a firm timeline.

Will my store go offline during the move?

No. The new store is built and tested on a staging Shopify store while your current store stays live. We switch your domain only after testing passes, and we import any orders placed in the meantime.

Will I lose my search rankings?

We plan every migration to protect them. We map each old URL to its new address in a single redirect hop, carry your structured data across, and watch Google Search Console for 14 days after launch. Any move carries some risk of ranking movement, which is why we agree the plan with you before launch.

What data can be moved to Shopify?

Products and variants, images, collections, customers and their addresses, past orders, gift cards, pages and blog posts. The audit lists exactly what moves from your store.

Will my customers have to reset their passwords?

Yes. Passwords cannot be moved between platforms, so each customer receives a simple account activation email to set a new one.

Do I need Shopify Plus?

Not necessarily. Many stores start on a standard Shopify plan. We will tell you honestly whether Plus makes sense for your volume and the features you need.

Can you keep my current design?

Yes. We can replicate your design closely or redesign it. Either way it is rebuilt as a custom Online Store 2.0 theme rather than a marketplace template.

What happens to my apps and integrations?

We list every tool connected to your current store, such as email, reviews, subscriptions, shipping and ERP, and map each one to a Shopify app or an integration before we build.

How much does it cost?

The audit is $1,200 USD and is credited toward the migration if you book within 30 days. Migrations start from $4,500 USD, and Magento and custom builds from $6,500 USD. You get a fixed price in writing before any work begins.

What happens after launch?

We monitor your store for 14 days, covering Search Console, a full crawl and checkout, and fix whatever turns up. After that you can add ongoing support if you want it.
